Biography - Anne Marie Madziak, MLIS

Anne Marie Madziak has been a library development consultant with the Southern Ontario Library Service for the past 12 years. Her public library experience includes several positions, including children’s librarian and branch head, in a number of branches of London Public Library; prior to that, she was the Chief Executive Officer of the Listowel Public Library. As a consultant, Anne Marie has worked with a number of public libraries undertaking a variety of service reviews.

More recently, she has been heavily involved in the strategic planning efforts of several public libraries. These efforts will culminate in the publication of a Creating the Future You've Imagined: A Guide to Essential Planning, scheduled for publication release in Spring 2007. Public libraries across Ontario will find this document an invaluable tool.

Anne Marie has considerable experience working with staff and trustees, facilitating shared inquiry and learning, the free exchange of ideas, and informed decision-making. Her facilitation and consulting lean heavily on a practice of skilful, directed conversation.
