Biography - Daryl Novak

Daryl Novak has over 30 years’ experience in social services, education, and the broader cultural sector. He has been responsible for human resources, finance, facilities and purchasing, strategic planning and government relations.  He is currently Director of Operations for Southern Ontario Library Service, and prior to that, Corporate Services Director at the Ontario Arts Council.  He has been a part-time faculty member in the Arts Administration program at Humber College.  He has served on numerous arts and social services boards and is currently a director of the Cultural Careers Council of Ontario.
 
At SOLS, besides being responsible for administration, Daryl has overall responsibility for delivery, and services to First Nations, including the Club Amick program.   He is also available to consult with public libraries on a range of human resources issues and runs SOLS’ CEO search service, which has assisted over 40 libraries hire new CEOs.
