Biography - Hélène Golden, MLSHélène Golden has been a consultant with SOLS since 1986. Hélène has been the Kempenfelt training coordinator on behalf of ARUPLO (Association of Rural and Urban Public Libraries of Ontario) for the past 9 years, and is involved in writing and delivering clinics and workshops for SOLS. She is the contact for the county public libraries of Ontario. She was seconded for a 2-year period as Project Manager for the Provincial Inter-Library Loan service. She has been involved in Collection Evaluations, service assessments, and automation projects, as well as the annual survey of public libraries. She is presently writing a guide to Collection Evaluation. Prior to her time with SOLS, she was the CEO of a medium-sized public library on the West Island of Montreal. Hélène is fluently bilingual, with a background in literature and linguistics, and a Master of Library Science from McGill University. She can be reached:
