SOLS CEO Salary Survey Report 2008
In December 2007, all Southern Ontario Library Service (SOLS)
libraries and First Nations libraries province-wide were asked to
complete an online salary and benefits survey. 133 out of a possible 191
SOLS libraries returned completed questionnaires representing a 70%
participation rate overall. Medium sized libraries serving populations
from 15,000 to 99,999 had the best response rate at 85%. Small libraries
serving populations under 15,000 had a response rate of 65%, while large
libraries serving over 100,000 had a 50% participation rate. First
Nations libraries did not participate to the same extent, with five of
eighteen in SOLS and four of thirty in OLSN responding.
