The breakout sessions in the afternoon cover topics of interest relating to success stories for small libraries, partnerships, events, fundraising, and grant proposal writing. In this session, participants of the Advancing Public Library Leadership Institute (APLL) will share their experiences with the audience. APLL is a two year certificate program in public library leadership offered through SOLS that combines the flexibility of online learning with highly interactive classroom sessions. Presenters will talk about their own leadership development, focusing on what the profession can do to support them

Update on the $15 Million Investment in Public Libraries

Since the grant was first announced in March 2008, SOLS and OLS-North have developed and implemented a variety of programs and projects to benefit the public libraries and fulfill the Ministry's vision for this investment. This session will provide an update on what has been achieved to date, and will look forward to next steps.
