Explore how Friends and library staff can build bridges and work together in
order to share skills and move forward with common goals. Learn how to boost
revenue with helpful tips and strategies. The breakout sessions in the
afternoon cover topics of interest relating to success stories for small
libraries, partnerships, events, fundraising, and grant proposal writing.

Come read with us! First Nation Communities Read is marking its 7th year of
program success with a celebratory review of aboriginal titles First Nation

Grooming the Next Generation of Public Library Leaders

In this session, participants of the Advancing Public Library Leadership
Institute (APLL) will share their experiences with the audience. APLL is a
two year certificate program in public library leadership offered through
SOLS that combines the flexibility of online learning with highly
interactive classroom sessions. Presenters will talk about their own
leadership development, focusing on what the profession can do to support
them

Update on the $15 Million Investment in Public Libraries

Since the grant was first announced in March 2008, SOLS and OLS-North have
developed and implemented a variety of programs and projects to benefit the
public libraries and fulfill the Ministry's vision for this investment. This
session will provide an update on what has been achieved to date, and will
look forward to next steps.
