Submit this assignment to your tutor by the date given on the schedule accompanying this course. There are five (5) steps in this assignment. Be sure to complete each step and submit your answers to each step to your tutor. Include your name on each page and keep a copy of your assignment.
For this assignment, you will begin an evaluation of your library’s collection in the area of gardening and landscape design.
Step 1
Record the number of books in your collection which are classified as
either 635 or 712.
Note: the classification numbers could be longer but should start with
these numbers

Step 2
Record the number of 'gardening-related' videos or DVDs in your
library _________
Note: Record a zero if you do not have any ‘gardening-related’ videos or
DVDs in your collection.
Step 3
Randomly select two books from the 635 or 712 section and note the date of publication.

Step 4
Over a period of two weeks, record the number of questions which were asked about gardening or landscape (using the topics listed below as a guide). Record each time a book from your garden or landscape design collection was used to provide information on the topic. Remember that one book could address one, two or three of these topics.
Note: If no one asks you for information on these topics, include a short note to your tutor. Explain that you were not asked a question during the two week period which required you to use a garden or landscape design book. Write a short description of one request you can recall in this subject area, and explain how you handled it.
