General registration information for all semesters

Basic EXCEL courses are offered on a three semester system - Winter (January to April), Summer (May to August) and Fall (September to December). We have created a list of important dates for the year 2007. In this table, you will find all the important dates, such as registration deadlines, regarding EXCEL courses for the rest of the year.

Registration form

Each semester, a registration form will be posted on the EXCEL section of our web site. The form will be posted approximately six weeks before the registration deadline. Students taking courses can register by selecting one of the two options:

Option 1: By using the option "print the form", you will print out a copy of a registration form that can be faxed to Diane Lozanski -- SOLS at 613-260-2503 (please call first because the fax number is the same as the phone number, so a fax machine must be connected.)
Option 2: By selecting the second option "register online", you can register electronically. Once your registration is successfully submitted, a confirmation form is produced for your records.
Payment

There are two ways to pay for an EXCEL course:

  • A Visa, American Express or Mastercard can used to pay for a course. To do this, please call Diane Lozanski at 613-260-2503 or toll free at 1-866-304-7988.
  • Payment can also be made by cheque. All cheques should be made to SOLS and mailed at the SOLS Toronto office. The address for the SOLS Toronto office is: 111 Peter St., Suite 902, Toronto, ON M5V 2H1.

All courses must be paid in full by the beginning of the semester.

Cost

The tuition fee for each course is $145.00, plus GST, for a total of $152.25.

Course materials delivery

Wherever possible, we use the SOLS courier service to deliver course materials to students. This service applies only to students in southern Ontario. Where it is not possible to use the SOLS courier service, we will use Express Post or Purolator courier.

Deadline for returning all assignments and the final examination

It has come to our attention that a few students have been very late in submitting their assignments or their final exam. To help our tutors in their work, a final deadline for returning all assignments and the final exam has been initiated. All assignments and the final exam should be received by the tutor no later than 2 weeks after the end of the semester. After this date, the tutor will mark the student with an ‘incomplete’ notation for that course. If for a serious reason the student cannot complete the requirements of a course that student should contact SOLS immediately by e-mail or by phone to Diane Lozanski at 613-260-2503 or 1-866-304-7988 toll free.
