The Canadian Reference Centre from EBSCO

Webinar 3

The Canadian Reference Centre from EBSCO is one of the products made available to libraries through Knowledge Ontario.  A new interface for EBSCO products will be launched in the summer of 2008. This webinar will provide an introduction to the new interface and an overview of the content and features of EBSCO's Canadian Reference Centre database. The Canadian Reference Centre combines Canadian magazines, newspapers and newswires and reference books to create the largest collection of full text content. This database includes leading Canadian periodicals and international (U.S. and U.K.) periodicals in full text; full text reference books; 84,074 full text biographies and an Image Collection database of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

Webinars are “live” training sessions in which participants view the presentation through their Web-browser and listen to the trainer through their telephone.  The webinars are free, but you must register with us in order to receive the password and URL required to participate on-line.

Who should attend?

This webinar will be of interest to all library staff providing reference service. You will need access to a computer and telephone to participate in the session.

This presentation is free of charge, but it is still necessary for you to register.
