Building Your Website Step-by-StepWorkshop #5This workshop will answer the question of how to build a website by starting with the basics. Each participant will receive his or her own workbook – complete with a step-by-step plan, tips and reminders – to use as a guide throughout the development process, both during and after the workshop. From brainstorming and surveying users, to purchasing a domain name and designing and uploading web pages, this workshop will give participants the tools they need to develop a library website. Our presenter, Chantelle Dooley, has over 5 years combined experience working as a web developer and computer trainer in the non-profit and public library sectors. As the project manager for Duly Designed, Chantelle has designed several websites for public libraries, library associations and non-profit organizations in Ontario. In June 2007, one of Chantelle’s library designs was selected by Pearson Education Canada for inclusion in their popular Literacy in Action series. This workshop is being held in conjunction with Library Committee Meetings which will follow the training. Workshop Dates, Locations and Registration Link
