- Volunteer Lawyer Services (PRO BONO Law in Ontario). VLS
provides free legal assistance, informational seminars, fact sheets, and speakers for small charities and nonprofits. Legal assistance
could include incorporation and bylaws, charitable status, contracts and agreements. VLS conducts seminars on topics such as how to
obtain charitable status, duties and liabilities of boards, employment issues and planned giving.
The lawyers can also be engaged for speaking events, workshops or annual general meetings.

paragraph, is specific to libraries in Washington, the outline of the steps and
decisions in hiring the CEO is useful for any public library.
