Library Association is the national English language association which
represents 57,000 library workers across the country. It also speaks for the
interests of the 21 million Canadians who are members of libraries. CLA members work in college, university, public, special (corporate,
non-profit and government) and school libraries. Others sit on boards of public libraries, work for companies
that provide goods and services to libraries, or are students in graduate level or community college programs.

- The Alberta Library (TAL)
The Alberta Library (TAL) is a province-wide library consortium that works with
its members to promote universal, barrier-free access to the materials and
resources in Alberta's diverse libraries. TAL's membership includes public,
university, college, technical institute and special libraries. Together these
organizations collaborate to promote and facilitate resource sharing, continuing
education, and library advocacy.

The Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries (COPPUL) is a consortium
of 20 university libraries located in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and
British Columbia.
- International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC)
Coalition continues to be an informal, self-organized group comprising (as
of September 2000) nearly 150 library consortia from around the world. The
Coalition serves primarily higher education institutions by facilitating
discussion among consortia on issues of common interest.
- Library Services Centre (LSC) The Library Services Centre (LSC) is a central purchasing and
processing centre for Canadian libraries. It provides services to over 200 libraries across Canada. LSC is a Canadian, non-profit
corporation owned by libraries. LSC is based in Kitchener, Ontario

Manitoba Library Consortium
(MLC) The mission of the Manitoba Library Consortium Inc. is to
facilitate effective resource sharing among the libraries in Manitoba in
order to strengthen the library services provided to the residents of
the province
- NEOS Library Consortium
NEOS is a central Alberta library consortium which has collaborated to create
and maintain a shared online
catalogue, as well as provide user services to its clients. NEOS offers its
collective primary clients access to collections, reference assistance,
interlibrary loan privileges and a document delivery service.
