Genealogy Database - Ancestry Library Edition from Micromedia Proquest

SOLS signed a two year agreement beginning May 1, 2009 for Micromedia ProQuest’s Ancestry Library Edition (ALE), a genealogy research tool. In the e-resource survey last summer (2010), it ranked ahead of all other resources in importance to libraries - 85% ranked it very high. As a result, it was included in the core suite of e-resources under the $2 million grant and the license was extended to December 31, 2011. It will be renewed under that program for 2012.
