SOLS Library Book Rate Postage Reimbursement Guidelines
- SOLS provides delivery of interlibrary loan materials between public libraries in SOLS, OLS-North
and Metropolitan Toronto. SOLS does not pay for delivery outside Ontario or
for postage when the library is on SOLS courier.
General rule of thumb:
SOLS reimburses Library Book Rate postage only for public libraries in Ontario that are not on SOLS courier. - The SOLS courier system is the primary delivery mechanism and is used where possible for all interlibrary
loan material, except as noted below in Section (3).
The courier system is used for:
- Public libraries within SOLS
- Metropolitan Toronto libraries
- Select university libraries, as noted on Delivery Schedules
- Library and Archives Canada (Ottawa)
- SOLS reimburses lending libraries for Library Book Rate costs to send
interlibrary loan materials to:
- SOLS libraries not on SOLS courier. All material for branch libraries should go on SOLS courier to
the main branch. The main branch is then responsible to get the material to the branch.
- Public libraries in OLS-North
- Cheques will not be issued for claims totalling less than $10 for the
year.
- Libraries that choose to be compensated may invoice SOLS for the Library
Book Rate reimbursement using
