SOLS Online Interloan Statistics Reporting Form

- Search what you have entered in the statistics database so far. (password required)
SOLS would appreciate getting Interlibrary Loan activity numbers from each SOLS library using VDX. Yearly or quarterly statistics are not as useful as a monthly breakdown for volume patterns and courier service analysis. These figures can be found in the VDX report titled "Monthly ILL Statistics". WARNING: The figures for the current day's activity are not included in the monthly tally until the report is updated at midnight by the VDX system. Therefore you should wait until the next month has begun before reporting the previous months activity.
Please provide the following:

Requester - Requests
This is the number of requests made to other libraries. -
Requester - Received
This is the number of items borrowed. An item is counted as borrowed when the Received action has been performed. -
Responder - Requests
This is the number of requests received from other libraries. It is the number of incoming requests that you handled regardless of whether you supply them or not. -
Responder - Shipped
This is the number of items lent. An item is counted as a loan when the Shipped action has been performed.
If relevant, add in manual statistics you have kept for activity performed outside of VDX system. This would include email or written request forms to an institution and reciprocal borrowing arrangements with other library boards such as YPLN or Halinet where materials are exchanged between member libraries but not recorded within your VDX software.
An interlibrary loan is defined as a loan of library materials owned by one library board to another library board for a specific time frame as a result of a formal request/response process initiated by patron requirement. Inter-branch exchanges within a library system are not interlibrary loan.
