How can libraries obtain information on new releases and availability of current video\dvd releases?

The company can supply the libraries with advance DVD pre-release information from major suppliers.  Please note that VHS video materials are now fairly rare except in the education market.  These lists can be e-mailed weekly and/or monthly.  Libraries can also be provided with catalogues of educational DVD and video product that list both home use and public performance rights (PPR) pricing.  At the libraries' request, S&B can supply catalogues from specific DVD and video suppliers.

What is the delivery / turnaround time?

The average fulfillment time for DVD and video orders will be about 30 days, for 65% of the orders.  These orders will also be processed with this time frame.  85% of the libraries' orders will be supplied within 60 days, and 95% will be supplied within 90 days, provided titles are still available and in print.  The balance of the orders will be reported and/or cancelled within 120 days or at the request of the libraries.

How do I order videos / DVDs

Orders can be phoned in, faxed or e-mailed.

Can I order electronically?

What is the return policy for defective videos / DVD products?

Libraries have full returns privileges with regard to DVDs and videos shipped in error and/or not ordered.  Any item received defective in any way may also be returned for full credit.  Any item received defective that has been processed may also be returned for full credit, including the processing charges.  If a no-charge replacement is required, we will process the replacement copy at no charge.  Any changes with regard to cataloguing errors will be corrected at no charge.

DVDs may be returned for credit or replacement if defective, duplicate orders, etc.  However, US imports are returnable ONLY if defective, otherwise US import items are non-returnable. Videos (VHS) are in general non-returnable except where defective.  Permission to return should be requested for VHS items.

What about automatic release and standing order services?

In addition to regular DVD and video orders, S&B can provide Standing Orders, Automatic Release Plans and other special programs.

What other services are available?

S & B can provide a wide variety of reports available in print, including an outstanding order report, a cancellation report and a budget report.  The reports are submitted to libraries on an individual scheduled basis at no cost.  Libraries may request a budget report showing the annual budget and the monthly accumulated funds spent as well as the descending value of budget funds.  Budget reports are often tailored to the customer's requirements.  These are normally provided with Automatic Release Plans, however similar reports can also be provided with firm orders.  Invoicing can be tailored to meet the the libraries' individual needs.
