Libraries can obtain information on large print materials simply by contacting S&B Books directly. You will then be placed on a mailing list to receive catalogues from all large print publishers. What is the process for ordering large print material? Please mention that you are part of the SOLS Consortia Purchasing Agreement (CPA) when placing your order. Is there any extra benefit in ordering directly from S&B Books instead of through SOLS? There is no extra benefit in ordering large print material directly from S&B Books. SOLS and S&B Books are working together to provide the best possible discounts and service to members of the CPA. Libraries that currently order their large print material directly from S&B Books do not need to change their ordering habits, however, new accounts to S&B Books will benefit from purchasing through SOLS CPA. What is the discount for large print material? Libraries can obtain the best discount available for large print material by contacting S&B Books directly and mentioning that you are part of the SOLS Consortia Purchasing Agreement (CPA). What are the shipping & handling charges for large print material? There will be no shipping and handling charges when ordering your large print material from S&B Books as part of the SOLS CPA. What are the cataloguing & processing charges for large print material? The price for cataloguing/MARC records on all large print material is a combined price of $2.99. This price includes a spine label covered with mylar/J-lar tape, book pocket, circulation card, and a MARC record. If you have special requirements for cataloguing & processing please contact S&B Books and they will provide a price according to your needs. Are libraries eligible for any other large print programs and special offers? There are various large print programs that enable libraries to receive even more discount. In addition to these programs, special promotional flyers are produced annually which give libraries the opportunity to obtain backlist titles at discounts as high as 60%. Libraries can expect to receive information concerning outstanding order reports and cancellation reports by contacting S&B Books directly. What is the return policy for damaged materials? Libraries have full returns privileges with regard to books shipped in error. Any book received defective in any way, may also be returned for full credit. If you require a no-charge replacement we will ship the replacement copy at no-charge. |
