Benchmarks
Benchmarks (shown below) are set to determine the number of stops a
library receives in a week based on the volume of interlibrary loan
transactions and/or the volume of delivery material picked up in one
year. Additional factors taken into consideration to determine the
actual number of days of delivery to a library include:
- SOLS financial ability to increase routes,
- Geographic location,
- Population served,
- Reciprocal borrowing arrangements,
- Inter-branch delivery agreements and
- Jobber’s material delivery.
