Delivery

SOLS provides free delivery to the main branch of 149 public libraries in Southern Ontario, including Toronto Public Library, Libraries and Archives Canada and seven universities:

• Materials ordered through the inter-library loan system
• Materials ordered through reciprocal borrowing arrangements (eg. PCIN, YPLN)
• Materials left or mistakenly returned to the wrong library system
• POOL rotations

We also provide fee based delivery service for:

• Inter-branch delivery
• 24 branches of 12 libraries on the delivery system
• New book delivery
• For organizations such as LSC, LBI and Jack the Bookman
• Packages for organizations needing to distribute their material to libraries

Points of interest about SOLS Delivery service:

• In one year our drivers:
• Travel 890,307 km
• Deliver 499,197 pieces of material (envelopes, books and boxes)
• Make 24,976 stops at libraries
• Use 156,717 litres of fuel

• There are 12 routes driven by 14 full and part time drivers and a number of casual drivers to cover for holiday relief.
