The program is aimed at public library staff with leadership aspirations, with and without an M.L.I.S. degree. Individuals accepted into the APLL Institute are expected to have a good understanding of the management of library services and operations, as indicated by at least one of the following:

  • A degree or diploma in library studies
  • An EXCEL certificate in managing a small public library, and/or
  • Current employment as a manager in a public library setting.

Registration:

The APLL cycle begins in the Fall of evenly numbered years with registration occuring over the summer. The next cycle starts in Setember 2018, with registration opening on July 4th.  

Fees

$3600 + HST

  • Deposit of $1800 + HST is due at registration (July 2018)
  • Remainder is due by June 30th, 2019

The registration fee includes all meals and accommodations for the classroom sessions. 

Official tuition receipts can be issued for income tax purposes.
