NEW CEO PEER GROUP
The purpose of the New CEO Peer Group is to support newly appointed CEOs of public libraries as you learn about and grow into your new responsibilities. It is a safe place to ask questions and learn together and from each other.
Because new CEOs, at any given time, are geographically dispersed in communities across the province, the group meets virtually, in two ways:
- An online community of practice, offering a safe way to ask questions and seek advice
- Participative webinars every few months, providing an opportunity to engage in learning conversations about the various responsibilities and challenges of being a public library CEO
The webinars are NOT presentations; they are conversations and you will reap the greatest benefit by participating fully with a camera and microphone on your computer/device. If this isn’t possible, you can still participate by phoning in. SOLS staff will shape the conversation and facilitate the interactions but it's up to each participant to make it relevant and meaningful.
